2023 NYC Marathon celebrity finish times



He iced ’em.

Ex-NHL player Zdeno Chára beat out several other celebrities running the 2023 New York City Marathon on Sunday.

Chára, 46, finished the race in 3 hours, 19 minutes, and 19 seconds, besting big names including T.J. Holmes, Nev Schulman, Patina Miller and more.

The long-running race begins in Staten Island and sends runners through New York’s 4 other boroughs before concluding in Central Park near the West 60s.

Here’s a look at how celebrities fared in their 26.2-mile journey.

Matt James

Season 25 “Bachelor” Matt James, 31, toed the line Sunday.

The former college football wide receiver, who made history as the first black male lead of the ABC show, recently showed off the nine pairs of running shoes he used to train for the marathon on his Instagram.

He revealed that this was his second time competing, and he’s running for ABC Food Tours, which brings kids from underserved elementary schools to restaurants.

“The Bachelorette” contestants “Grocery Store” Joe Amabile, 37, and Zac Clark, 39, finished the race in under 4 hours.

Sheinelle Jones 

“Today” show correspondent Sheinelle Jones, 45, made her marathon debut Sunday, finishing in 4 hours, 41 minutes and 19 seconds.

“I want to prove that just the average girl, we can do it,” Jones said in August on the NBC show. “I am 4 feet, 11 inches. I am not a model. I’m not a runner, but we can do this!”

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes 

Disgraced “Good Morning America” hosts Amy Robach, 50, and T.J. Holmes, 46, finished together in 4 hours, 14 minutes, and 39 seconds.

The former TV personalities reportedly began their shocking affair while training for a half marathon last year.

The couple recently announced they will launch a podcast together.

Patina Miller 

Broadway star Patina Miller, 38, finished the race in 4 hours and 36 seconds.

The actress, who starred in the revival of Stephen Sondheim’s “Into the Woods,” pulled double duty on Sunday by singing the national anthem before joining fellow runners.

Miller ran in support of Komera, which aims to assist girls in rural Rwanda.

Luke Macfarlane

“Brothers & Sisters” alum Luke Macfarlane, 43, made his marathon debut on Sunday, running in support of Beyond Type 1, which aids diabetes patients through advocacy, education and cure research. 

Nev Schulman

MTV reality star Nev Schulman completed his seventh NYC marathon in 4 hours, 17 minutes and 23 seconds.

The “Catfish” host, 39, ran this year as a guide for a visually impaired athlete.

Schulman is sponsored by Achilles International, which encourages athletes with disabilities.
