LeBron James works out with teen phenom as Bronny heads home from hospital

After a scary few days, LeBron James was back in the gym Thursday.

The NBA star worked out with teen phenom AJ Dybantsa following Bronny James’ discharge from the hospital after suffering cardiac arrest Monday while at a morning basketball practice at USC.

Bronny, who is entering his freshman year with the Trojans, went into cardiac arrest and was rushed to the hospital after a 911 call was made at 9:26 a.m. from the Galen Center.

The 18-year-old was initially treated in intensive care at Cedars-Sinai before being cleared to return home

James’ outing with Dybantsa suggests things are progressing well with Bronny’s prognosis, as the Lakers small forward suggested in a tweet on Thursday

“I want to thank the countless people sending my family love and prayers,” James wrote.

“We feel you and I’m so grateful. Everyone doing great. We have our family together, safe and healthy, and we feel your love. Will have more to say when we’re ready but I wanted to tell everyone how much your support has meant to all of us! #JamesGang.”

Dybantsa, 16, is a Brockton, Mass., native but is in Los Angeles with his father to meet with agents, the New York Times reported

According to the report, the rising basketball star met with representatives from James’ agency, Klutch Sports.

Dybantsa’s workout with James was originally scheduled for Wednesday but was pushed back after Bronny’s health emergency.

The 6-foot-8 Dybantsa was grateful that James still made time for him, and said it shows that “he cares,” the Times reported.

“Didn’t know what was going to happen to his son, but even though it took him an extra day, he still showed up and worked out,” Dybantsa said.

“I felt for the man [Lebron James],” Ace Dybantsa, AJ’s father said. “After what he’s been through, he showed up, put on a good face and worked with the kid.

“I had chills, man.”
