‘Gang’s All Here’ Podcast Episode 145: Jets Sign Dalvin Cook

An already talented Jets offense just got better.

Was Dalvin Cook a need? Probably not. Is Dalvin Cook a luxury? Probably.

However you slice it, the Jets are bringing a four-time Pro Bowl running back into the fold to join rising star Breece Hall.

Hall and Cook. Cook and Hall. Breece and Dalvin. Dalvin and Breece.

What a time to be alive in Jets land.

To react to the signing, we bring you an emergency episode of the “Gang’s All Here” podcast with Brian Costello and me.

Gang’s All Here Podcast with Jake Brown & Brian Costello:

  • COOK REACTION: I love it. While he might be on a bit of a decline, the Jets don’t need him to be a Pro Bowl RB. They need him to complement Hall and the rest of the backs in Michael Carter, Bam Knight and company. It’s only a one-year deal, so it’s not hurting you down the road. Coz argues that he is overpaid and that he is aging and on the decline. Coz believes they could have used that money elsewhere when they may need to help the offensive line.
  • COREY DAVIS: Will Corey Davis make what he is making and will he be on the Jets in Week 1?
  • RODGERS-MANIA: What’s it been like for Coz watching Aaron Rodgers up close in training camp every day?
  • WINNING WILSON: Zach Wilson is a big winner in this as his confidence is on the rise. The pressure is off him. He’s looked better in camp and not just because of Rodgers, but because of his own self and ability to understand his role.
