Tim Tebow’s Florida teammates tested virginity with naked photos

Tim Tebow’s sex life is still generating buzz.

In Netflix’s upcoming “Untold: Swamp Kings” docu-series — which explores the 2000s-era Florida Gators and head coach Urban Meyer’s militant-style system — Tebow’s former teammates recalled fielding questions about his sex life after he pronounced himself a virgin.

Former Gators linebacker Brandon Spikes — a second-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft — took a trip down memory lane during the four-part series and shared how he would test Tebow to see if he was “serious” about saving himself for marriage.

“I just wanted to see if he was real,” Spikes, who won two national championships with Tebow in the 2006 and 2008 seasons, said. “So I would like, you know, maybe have a picture, a nude picture on my phone or something and show it to him just to see how he would react.

“He was like, ‘Come on man! Like, you really get a man uncomfortable!’” Spikes said, “And I was like, ‘Oh, he’s serious.’”

Former Florida linebacker, Ryan Stamper, who was also a member of both title teams, recalled being prodded with questions about Tebow’s sex life.

“I was answering questions constantly about Tebow: ‘Hey, like Is he really a virgin?’ or ‘Is he really that perfect?’ or ‘Does he really just eat and sleep football?’” Stamper said. “I was like ‘Yeah, that’s who he is.’”

Tebow unapologetically expressed his faith — and grabbed headlines when he revealed he was a virgin prior to the start of his senior season in 2009.

When asked by a reporter at SEC media day if he was “saving himself for marriage,” Tebow laughed and said, “Yes, I am.”

Spikes and Meyer recalled the quarterback being the ideal role model.

“Tebow was clean cut, no tattoos; America likes that,” Spikes said. “It’s a feel-good story.

“Here’s this kid that’s a virgin, that’s been doing missionary trips his whole life … doing all the right things. He was Captain America.”

Meyer praised Tebow, who married Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters in 2020, for his work ethic and desire to be a leader.

“Tim was the only one, he was the hardest working guy,” Meyer said, adding, “He did everything right.”

After the Gators obliterated Ohio State, 41–14, to win the national title in 2007, Spikes recalled partying hard with his Florida teammates, minus Tebow — whose sole focus was on his faith and football.

“He would either have his Bible or his playbook out,” Spikes said. “He wasn’t partying with us … I would throw parties [and he would never come].”

Brandon Siler — a junior linebacker on the 2006 title team — said: “We went out, we drank, we celebrated hard, we danced, partied. We just had a good time.”

Tebow was a consensus First Team All-American in 2007, winning the Heisman Trophy that year.

The Gators were flying high and the team to beat in the Southeastern Conference.

With that came fame, media attention, screaming fans, free booze and plenty of women.

“Back in Gainesville, you really started to see and feel the love,” Spikes said, while recalling going to bars and getting free drinks and admission under 21.

“I felt like I was a rock star … The parties were insane … It’s just too much temptation.”

Former Florida safety, Ahmad Black, who was part of the 2008 title team, said: “We called it ‘Gaines Vegas,’ and in Gaines Vegas we partied.”

Former Gators running back Chris Rainey recalled “girls fainting,” while Black said the team would sign autographs while getting bombarded by fans on its way to practice.

“I would get stopped going to every class,” Tebow said. “All this pressure and hype, it’s hard.”

Meyer recalled his team being overconfident going into the 2007 season following its title win over the Buckeyes.

Florida went just 9-4 that season, losing in the Citrus Bowl to Michigan.

“I was dealing with something almost every week,” the former coach said. “Alcohol everywhere, pretty girls everywhere. And here we are.

“I’m like, ‘Hey, we have practice tomorrow. Hey, You’re not that good,’ and [they’d be like] ‘Yeah, we are that good.’ It was a fight.”

Meyer and Tebow bonded over their shared discipline and focus on the game.

“That class was one of the most passionate, rambunctious, fun-loving partiers that I’ve ever been around, but my focus was playing football,” Tebow said. “At certain times, we have to stop and go to work.”

The Gators went on to win another national championship two years later over Oklahoma, 24-14, at Dolphin Stadium.
