Scooter Braun leaving talent management amid rumors exits: report

Why is everyone on famed talent manager Scooter Braun’s star-studded roster apparently leaving him?

After The Post confirmed Monday that Demi Lovato is parting ways with Braun, 42, a source claimed to Variety on Tuesday that Braun is “getting out of management — he has been for years. That’s the real story.”

However, a music industry source with knowledge of the situation told The Post, “All of Scooter Braun’s clients are under contract and negotiations have been going on for several months as Scooter steps into his larger role as HYBE America CEO,” they said, referring to the South Korean entertainment corporation behind K-pop megastars BTS.

The insider continued, “People are spreading rumors based on what they know, but they are off. Scooter’s team at SB Projects are still handling both Justin [Bieber] and Ariana [Grande] as they work through what this new structure looks like.”

Billboard reported Monday that Grande dropped Braun as her manager after Puck News published a story on an alleged rift between Braun and Bieber. However, reps for Braun and Bieber denied those claims.

Grande’s team has not commented on allegations but a source told Page Six that “people are spreading rumors based on what they know, but they are off.”

On Tuesday, Braun tweeted, “Breaking news… I’m no longer managing myself.

The Post has contacted reps for Braun for comment.

Meanwhile, a source with knowledge of the situation also told The Post that “Wicked” alum Idina Menzel parted ways “mutually and amicably” last year.

The “Prince of Reggaeton,” J Balvin, notably parted ways with Braun in May.

Other big names on Braun’s roster include Tori Kelly, Carly Rae Jepsen, Dan + Shay, Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Rowland and Quavo.

Braun rose to fame by being Bieber’s first and only manager, starting 16 years ago.

Breakup rumors centered around the duo swirled last week, but reps for all parties confirmed to Page Six that they were not true.

On Monday, a source close to Lovato told The Post that while the “Confident” singer is thankful for her time with Braun, the former Disney star is looking to go in a new direction.

Lovato has not yet found new management, but conversations are reportedly taking place, according to the insider, who also added that her departure happened well before any rumor of Bieber leaving Braun surfaced.
