Spider web dress called ‘vulgar’

Spooky season was never this sexy.

Commanding everyone’s full “Attention” with spider web chicness, Doja Cat unapologetically crawled her way past wishful fashion competitors at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards on Tuesday night, eclipsing the wannabes with her unyielding eccentricity.

Pop culture’s untamable fur baby, 27, slinked down the red carpet in a sheer white, custom-designed gown by Monse. The barely-there gossamer fabric offered fans an eyeful of the vixens otherworldly curves. Her VMAs look was a total nod to the viral #NakedDress trend that’s amassed over 9.7 million TikTok views.

Doja turned heads ahead of her eye-popping performance of “Attention,” “Paint The Town Red” and “Demons” in a naughty school girl uniform — a la Britney Spears’ look in visuals for Y2K pop anthem “Baby One More Time.”

The sometimes shaved, sometimes bloodied Doja — who infamously blasted her fanbase for failing to see her as a “real” person — sparked a social media brouhaha with her saucy ensembles, seeing fans tweet, “when it comes to style and branding [she] is UNMATCHED!”

While the dress amassed a wave of praise from social media viewers, some folks deemed the piece “vulgar.”

“How doja ate the girls up in a knitted dress omg,” another impressed fanatic.

But not everyone was wowed by the ultra sexy look.

“I like Doja and I’m all for sexy attire but there is a difference between sexy and vulgar,” wrote a critic. “You can dress sexy and still look classy and elegant, this outfit is just vulgar.”

But naysayers likely won’t deter the ferocious feline.

In fact, the haute hell raiser’s controversial couture comes just days after she fiercely freed the nip — going braless in a see-through, halter neck mesh number at the Jean Paul Gaultier SSENSE Party during New York Fashion Week.

Doja, who purred the voguish night away alongside fellow raptresses Ice Spice, 23, and Doechii, 25, paired the peek-a-boo micro crop top with a printed bolero and semi-sheer pants. The fab ‘fit, too, featured the straps of her leopard-inspired underwear riding high up on her hips.

At the top of the month, the “Woman” chanteuse stunned in a slinky black slip dress, which came complete with a pair of built-in panties, on the pink carpet of Victoria Secret’s World Tour event.

But she savagely bashed the saucy little frock, saying in a since-deleted Instagram Story rant: “It’s crazy when you got a dress on and your whole vagina is out the whole night and the straps on the dress pull ur tits all the way down to your knees and all you asked for was a slip dress but I digress.”

Knowing no bounds, Doja’s hellishly haute moments coincide with her smash track “Paint The Town Red” claiming the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100. The achievement marks the first time a rap song has reached the top of the charts in over a year.

The praiseworthy feat is the debauchee’s second of its kind. She previously accomplished the win with “Say So,” featuring VMAs host Nicki Minaj, 40, back in 2020.

Doja’s hotly-anticipated fourth studio album “Scarlet” will be released Sept. 22.
