Minnesota Timberwolves Star Anthony Edwards and Adidas took over Atlanta this weekend and unveiled his first signature sneaker the ‘AE 1’.
After the departure of Kanye West from Adidas most of the news from the shoe maker hasn’t been negative. However, like everyone says in business “the show must go on”. That’s exactly what the brand is doing and focusing on their current roaster full of NBA stars. Recently Adidas revealed their signature shoe with Atlanta Native and Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards.
According to Hypebeast, the sneaker is set to release this December and will retail for $120. Three different colorways will be available and feature a flexible knit upper, split tongue, and of course BOOST cushioning.
To celebrate the launch Edwards and Adidas went back to his hometown of Atlanta for a celebration of sorts. AE visited Atlanta to hand deliver his first shoe to his grandfather at his childhood home. He cites his grandfather as his biggest inspiration in his life. Additionally, the AE5 Basketball Camp brought out all young aspiring basketball players to train with Edwards.
