“Something Is Going To Happen” – The Hollywood Reporter

Jerry Seinfeld teased a possible Seinfeld reunion at a recent stand-up show in Boston.

The comedian was asked by an audience member if he liked the NBC comedy’s ending.

“Well, I have a little secret for you about the ending, but I can’t really tell it because it’s a secret,” he said. “Here’s what I can tell you, but you can’t tell anybody: Something is going to happen that has to do with that ending. It hasn’t happened yet.”

“And just what you are thinking about, [Seinfeld co-creator Larry David] and I have also been thinking about,” he added. “So you’ll see.”

So to be clear: This doesn’t confirm a reunion. But his comments, as they say, certainly don’t sound like they’re about nothing.

There has been a previous Seinfeld reunion, of sorts, with the cast coming together for David’s HBO comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm, which staged a satirical version of the reunion on the show in 2009.

Also, the comedian previously said a reunion was “possible” when asked about the idea by Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show in 2018. Prior to that, Seinfeld frequently shot down the idea entirely.

Currently, Seinfeld is streaming on Netflix, which would perhaps be a natural home for such a venture, but that’s rather speculative. The show ended 25 years ago after nine seasons.

Seinfeld’s representatives and Netflix had no immediate comment.
