Travis Kelce narrowly missed being included on People’s latest Sexiest Man Alive list.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was allegedly approached to be included in the issue of hotties unbeknownst to him, but his publicity team rejected the offer.
Travis’ brother Jason Kelce, a center for the Philadelphia Eagles, however did make the cut and was featured in the 2023 issue alongside A-listers Usher, Timothée Chalamet, Jamie Foxx, Pedro Pascal and Lenny Kravitz, to name a few.
The whole debacle was recounted by Jason Kelce, on the Wednesday episode of the siblings’ podcast “New Heights.”
“Initially you were supposed to be up there with me, but you declined it,” Jason, 36, revealed.
Laughing, Taylor Swift’s latest beau responded, “There’s no way. How do you decline it?”
“I don’t know! But apparently you guys found a way to decline it,” Jason, who affectionately refers to himself as “Fat Batman” responded, alluding to someone in Travis’ camp making the call to decline.
“I didn’t get a call,” Travis, 34, reiterated.
“They called me and said it would be me and you,” Jason explained. Apparently People magazine wanted both the Kelce men to appear as a “Sexiest Brothers Alive” package
Travis was not convinced calling the whole story “bulls**t.”
People’s 2023 Sexiest Man Alive list made headlines earlier this month when it unveiled top honors were given to “Grey’s Anatomy” alum Patrick Dempsey.
The decision to honor the 57-year-old “Enchanted” actor divided the internet with many fans taking to X to express their joy and share their jeers.
“Why are these always so random like Patrick Dempsey hasn’t even done anything this year. did I miss something,” a one person quipped whilst captioning a gallery of “People” magazine’s past Sexiest Man Alive covers.
“Did I travel back in time to 2005 like the smash hit TV show ‘Bodies’ on Netflix because—and love him to bits but—how is Patrick Dempsey, in the year of Beyoncé 2023 the sexist man alive?” another fan in disbelief added.
“Pedro pascal is the sexiest man alive of 2023. Sorry people, sorry Patrick Dempsey,” an X user scribed.
But not everyone was ready to roast their form McDreamy.
“Patrick Dempsey BEEN sexiest man alive since he said its a beautiful day to save lives that first time in 2005 [on ABC’s ‘Grey’s Anatomy’],” a fan wrote.
“I actually won’t stand for this patrick dempsey hate because let’s not act like this isn’t one of the finest men that has graced gods green earth,” one said.
