Kyle Brandt confesses ‘love’ for ‘boyhood crush’ Vanna White on ‘Wheel of Fortune’

NFL Network personality Kyle Brandt didn’t waste his chance to tell his childhood crush, Vanna White, about his admiration for her.

Brandt, 44, appeared on a charity episode of “Wheel of Fortune” against actress Natasha Leggero and comedian Roy Wood Jr. that aired on Wednesday night, and the sports media personality couldn’t help but tell White, 66, about the crush he had on her while growing up watching the show.

“Pat, I’m thrilled to meet you, but Vanna, let’s just put the cards on the table,” Brandt said. “I say this respectfully, you’re a TV legend, my wife is here, you were my boyhood crush. I love you. For many years of my life, you were the puzzle I wanted to solve. And I’m so thrilled to be here.

“Do you have any advice for me, Vanna? Because you control the board. I love you, Pat [Sajak], but, to me, this is a Vanna show.”

White took the comments in stride after her initial surprise and laughter.

Brandt’s bluntness even seemed to catch Sajak off guard a bit.

Nevertheless, White did have some tips for the “Good Morning Football” host as he got ready to play.

“Wow. Well, thank you for those kind words,” White said. “Buy vowels, pretend like you’re in your own living room, not here. Just concentrate on the puzzle board. Not me, OK! Take me out of it, just think of the puzzle.”

Kyle Brandt wasn’t shy about putting it all out there on “Wheel of Fortune.”

Brandt did in fact do well, winning $169,500 for his charity of choice by the end of the episode.

Brandt, who provides insight and humor on NFL Network, began his media career on “MTV’s The Real World: Chicago” in 2001 and later appeared on “Days of Our Lives” from 2003-06.

He got his start in sports media in 2007 when he became a producer and writer on “The Jim Rome Show,” and was later hired to be one of the hosts of “Good Morning Football” on NFL Network in 2016.
