Skip Bayless might’ve ruffled the feathers of some Swifties when he shared his “two cents” about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s whirlwind romance.
The “Undisputed” host said he isn’t buying it, and called out Swift for her “exaggerated kiss” with Kelce when she ran off stage and into his arms after her concert in Argentina on Saturday.
“I sincerely hope her relationship with Travis Kelce is real, for both their sakes, but especially for his,”the FS1 personality said on “The Skip Bayless Show” on Thursday. “I believe from a distance that his feelings for her are very real.
“But hers for him? I have no idea. How can you know? How can even he be sure?
“Because she is such a megastar, obviously she is extremely image conscious. She’s just painfully camera aware — and so she’s always in danger in her life of acting a part when she knows she’s on camera.
Bayless explained that he believes Swift comes off as “stagey and fake” when she attends Chiefs games and is seen cheering on the broadcast.
“She knows she’s on camera every single second she’s up in a stadium box watching her Travis do what he does best, which is play football,” Bayless said.
“I’m sorry, but when she’s up in the box she comes off as stagey and fake to me. I just don’t buy it. My radar detector’s saying, ‘nope, nope, nope.’”
Bayless went on to recall seeing the viral video of Swift running off stage and into Kelce’s arms after he attended her concert in Argentina on Saturday.
“Travis on his bye week flew down,” Bayless said. “She obviously knew she was on camera.
“You see her running toward Travis, all but jumping in his arms, embracing him, giving a big, exaggerated kiss.”
“… It just seemed a little scripted to me. Just a little put on. Just a little fake.
“I could be wrong. But is she using this all-time fairytale romance to plug into NFL-sized publicity and promotion? I hope not, but I do wonder.”
Kelce and Swift were first linked in September, when she attended the Chiefs-Bears game, where she was seen cheering with Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce in a private suite at Arrowhead Stadium.
They went public with their relationship the next month, when they were seen holding hands while out together in New York City.
Things could be getting serious between the NFL star and 12-time Grammy winner.
Kelce and Swift’s parents are reportedly set to meet when the Chiefs host the Eagles on “Monday Night Football.”
They are reportedly planning to spend the holidays together with their families in December.
