Suzanne Somers was fashionable to the very end — thanks to her custom-made Timberland boots.
The late “Three’s Company” star — who died on Oct. 15 from breast cancer — was laid to rest on Nov. 30, during a celebration of life memorial in Palm Springs surrounded by family and friends. She was 76.
Her husband, Alan Hamel, 87, recently revealed why the Manolo Blahnik heels-lover donned the nature boots.
“Suzanne never really had boots designed for hiking on the rocks, so I ordered the Timberland boots,” he told People.
But Hamel personalized the gift by drawing on them with “a few words that represented our life to some degree and made them very personal to Suzanne.”
He penned on the footwear messages such as “In Love Forever” and “We Are One.”
He shared that while the ThighMaster spokeswoman wore “every Manolo Blahnik ever made,” it would “have been predictable but not very personal” to have her wear the designer brand “for her final trip.”
“Every time she put on the Timberlands, she said, ‘I am wearing you, and my boots will keep me safe,’” he recalled.
He further noted how he and his late wife would have an “early morning routine” where they would hike in the mountains by their home in Palm Springs.
When they reached the top, they would have lunch and take a one-hour nap before hiking down and getting back to work.
Another memorial service is set to occur later this week in Somers’ hometown of San Bruno, Calif.
Earlier this month, Hamel told Page Six that the Palm Springs “Tequila & Tributes”-themed celebration was at the Stone Eagle club in Palm Desert.
Guests were told to sport “colorful cocktail attire with sparkles and feathers in true Suzanne fashion.”
An emotional video montage of Somers, alongside photos from her career, heartfelt toasts from loved ones, and even a performance by her granddaughter Daisy, encompassed the event.
“Alan was upbeat and happy and only broke town in tears when he read the last love letter he wrote to Suzanne that closed the evening,” a friend said.
Somers’ son Bruce gave a teary-eyed speech, saying to the crowd: “When my mother talked to you, she made you feel like a million bucks. Her secret power was the ability to make you feel loved.”
The actress died one day shy of her 77th birthday.
She battled breast cancer for more than two decades, and passed away peacefully at her home with Bruce and Hamel by her side.
