Amon-Ra St. Brown flips into end zone for Lions touchdown

Amon-Ra St. Brown was head over heels for the end zone — literally.

As the Lions took on the Broncos on Saturday night and cruised to a 42-17 win, the star Detroit receiver had a chance for a score late in the first half and used all of his athleticism to flip over the goal line for an incredible touchdown.

With Detroit already up two scores on Denver, the Lions were primed for a third score when they had the ball at the 20-yard line and 24 seconds left in the second quarter.

Quarterback Jared Goff took a snap out of the shotgun on a third-and-7 and fired the ball over the middle to St. Brown, who caught the ball at about the nine-yard line.

As Brown ran toward the end zone, Broncos defensive back P.J. Locke tried to dive low at the goal line to prevent the speedster from hitting pay dirt.

But the 24-year-old stopped at about the two-yard line, leaped into the air, and flipped over both Locke and the goal line for what likely will rank as one of the top touchdowns of the 2023 season, putting the Lions up 21-0 going into halftime.

It was a standout game for St. Brown, who led both teams with his seven catches and 112 receiving yards.

Coming into the Saturday night clash, he ranked eighth in the NFL in both catches (87) and receiving yards (1,063).

His strong night coincided with the brilliant play of Goff, who completed 23 of 34 passes for 278 yards and five touchdowns.

The signal-caller finished the win with a 134.3 passer rating as the Lions rolled to their 10th win and moved closer to a playoff berth.
