Monica and Chandler from ‘Friends’ moved to the ‘Home Alone’ house — and this guy can prove it

Showing that sometimes worlds collide in the craziest ways, eagle-eyed comedian Scott Westwood has definitive proof that Chandler and Monica from Friends moved into the Home Alone house.

“I just learned that Chandler and Monica from ‘Friends’ moved into the McAllister’s house from ‘Home Alone’,” he began the video.

The interiors were decorated differently, so Scott’s proof was in the views outside.

“So this is Chandler and Monica’s house, and this is the garage across the road. Doesn’t it look familiar?” he says, showing the distinct garage door and grey house belonging to the Murphys through the window.

“And if you want further proof, what’s next door to the Murphy’s house? This house with the wreath.

“And what do we see opposite the McAllister’s house? The house with the wreath on the door!”

If that wasn’t enough of a mic drop, the top comment on the post drove it home.

The first comment came from Daren Janes, an art director who works in television.

“This is hilarious. You caught me!” he wrote.

“I was art director on Friends and the house was a set. The actors walked in the front door, so we saw outside.

“We used the backing from a company called Pacific Studios which was made for Home Alone because it looked the best through the door and windows.

“Great eye my friend!!!”

Given the cost of living crisis that’s seen people not only not be able to afford to buy homes, but afford rentals, there were plenty of comments about how Chandler and Monica could possibly afford such a fancy house.

“I didn’t know a marketing trainee and a chef could afford a mansion,” one person said.

“He kept a secret stash of cash from his work as a transponster,” quipped another, referring to the long-standing joke that no one knew what Chandler Bing did for work.

“Life was more affordable in the 90s,” said a third person.

One person had a sad comment, referring to Matthew Perry’s passing in October.

“It doesn’t sit right with me knowing Monica is alone in that house now,” he wrote.
