It’s time to clock back in on the severed floor.
Three years after the first season aired, “Severance” on Apple TV+ is back for a “weirder and wilder” Season 2.
If you weren’t already convinced the show could get weirder or wilder, just look to the promotion for it. Earlier this week, the “Severance” cast popped up at Grand Central Station in character to “work” in a glass cube with their office setup inside.
In her review of the new season, The Post’s TV reporter Lauren Sarner wrote, “Each scene crackles with tension since you never know what will happen next, and anything is possible. Some plot questions get answered while others get raised.”
“Severance” is set at the mysterious Lumon Industries, specifically on the “severed” floor, where employees who opt to be severed work. They’ve undergone a procedure that essentially splits their brains: at work, they’re one person (an “innie”) and at home, a completely different one (an “outie”) and never will the two cross. Work stays at work, home stays at home. But things at Lumon are not quite what they seem, and the Macrodata Refinement team inched closer to getting to the bottom of things as Season 1 reached an abrupt end.
Season 2 of “Severance” will be released every week; new episodes hit Apple TV+ every Friday.
“Severance” Season 2 premiere date and time: What time does “Severance” come out?
“Severance” Season 2 premieres on Friday, January 17. However, Apple TV+ will often release new episodes the night before their listed premiere dates so it’s likely you’ll be able to watch “Severance” as early as 9:00 p.m. ET tonight.
Apple has not confirmed this, though series executive producer and director Ben Stiller posted on X that he believes this is the case.
