FKA Twigs has had a busy year as she has been on the road supporting her recent album, Eusexua. Despite the album’s release earlier this year, the English artist appears ready to deliver a follow-up very soon.
Always renowned for her unique style and performance art, a visual representation that elevated her music, FKA Twigs‘ most recent era has been a smash hit for the singer. After a build-up of several months, including an incredible appearance alongside Anyma at The Sphere in Las Vegas, she released in Eusexua to massive acclaim in January this year. She hit the road in support of the album, delivering an updated live experience to fans worldwide, including a recent stop at Lowlands Festival. At the end of her set, she shared an excited update for fans regarding her future releases.
Talking to the crowd, FKA Twigs said, “I am full and abundant and ready to give birth. Her name is ‘Afterglow’, and my labor shall commence next month.” While no official album announcement has been made, representatives told Pitchfork that this is “not a deluxe version, but rather a whole new album.” The news comes following the release of FKA Twigs’ latest single Perfectly as well as a guest appearance alongside Yeat on Fly Nitë. Fans should expect more news regarding Eusexua Afterglow very soon.
