Calvin Harris confirms Miley Cyrus collab will never be released

Calvin Harris has officially shut down hopes of releasing his long-rumored collaboration with Miley Cyrus. After years of speculation surrounding the track, the Scottish DJ and producer confirmed on Instagram that the song will “not be possible,” ending fan expectations once and for all.

The revelation came after fans flooded Harris’s comments asking whether the Miley version of the song could ever be released. One fan requested a version with her vocals, to which Harris simply replied, “Not possible.” Another follower asked if there were issues between the two artists, but Harris was quick to clarify, “Absolutely not.”

Moreover, Harris stressed that he still admires Cyrus, writing, “I love Miley,” while calling criticism of him “rude” and correcting assumptions about fault by admitting it was due to “crossed wires.” When another fan suggested the Miley cut would have charted higher, Harris shot back with, “Why do u care it’s my song lol.”

The candid responses sparked a wave of reactions online, with many fans disappointed the collaboration will never see daylight. Yet Harris’s comments also confirmed there’s no personal conflict between the two, only logistical reasons behind the track’s shelving.

In true Calvin Harris fashion, he closed the conversation with playful remarks, telling one fan who heard the song live years ago, “Ooooh it’s better now!!” reminding everyone that he remains in full control of his catalog and its destiny.
