Taylor Swift’s looming “Sunday Night Football” appearance has everyone in New York on notice.
The pop star is set to be in attendance at MetLife Stadium on Sunday night when the Chiefs — and rumored beau Travis Kelce — take on the Jets.
ABC 7 meteorologist Dani Beckstrom knows all too well what Swift is in for.
“Taylor Swift proving she’s just like us … just a woman having to suffer through a Jets game for a man,” Beckstrom joked on-air Thursday.
Beckstrom tweeted the video of her joke with the following caption: “For the record, I watched the butt fumble game for me and only me.”
An outspoken Eagles fan, Swift watching a Jets game for a love interest is a side of her fans have not seen.
Not that fans tuning into Sunday’s game looking for a relatable glimpse of Swift will be alone.
Her unofficial relationship with Kelce, the Chiefs’ All-Pro tight end, has attracted legions of unlikely football fans.
When she attended last week’s Chiefs-Bears game at Arrowhead Stadium — at Kelce’s invite — the TV broadcast brought in 24.3 million viewers and made the contest the most-watched telecast on any network last week, according to the Fox Sports’ communication and public relations teams.
In addition, sales of Kelce’s jersey saw a 400% increase following last Sunday’s game.
