Avicii ‘Stories on Stories’ mini-series premieres on YouTube today

Pophouse and the Avicii Estate have officially premiered the first episode of Stories on Stories, a three-part YouTube mini-series that takes fans deep inside the creative process behind Avicii’s 2015 album Stories. Marking its 10th anniversary this year, the new series opens an intimate window into the Swedish producer’s world, showing how one of his most personal and ambitious projects came together.

Meanwhile, in the debut episode, viewers are transported to Los Angeles, where Tim “Avicii” Bergling and Alex Ebert are seen shaping “For a Better Day” from scratch. As the footage unfolds, audiences witness Avicii’s dedication to melody, his sharp ear for structure, and the trust that defined his collaborations. Moreover, the film highlights the synergy between producer and songwriter — a relationship built on mutual respect and shared musical instinct.

Avicii first teased Stories on Stories on October 2 to mark the album’s 10-year milestone, drawing inspiration from his 2015 interview where he revealed filming every studio session. As a result, the mini-series fulfills his wish to one day let fans experience his creative process firsthand, blending unseen footage with new reflections from his collaborators.

Looking ahead, future episodes will include contributions from Gavin DeGraw, Rami Yacoub, and Wyclef Jean, among others. Furthermore, the upcoming installments will spotlight tracks such as “Sunset Jesus,” revealing how Avicii’s distinctive songwriting and production methods shaped some of the album’s most memorable moments. Each episode offers a deeper emotional connection to his work — bridging nostalgia with newfound appreciation.

Finally, Stories on Stories premieres exclusively on YouTube, with episode one now available to stream. The following episodes will arrive on December 4 and January 1, respectively, inviting fans around the world to rediscover the brilliance and creativity of Avicii’s Stories era.
