And baby makes three.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield and his wife Emily Mayfield (née Wilkinson) are expecting a baby girl together in April, the couple announced in a joint post on Instagram on Monday.
“We’ve been hiding a little something……..🤫👀,” they wrote. “But we are THRILLED to share that baby girl Mayfield will be joining our crazy crew in early April 2024!”
The post featured Baker, 28, and Emily, 32, on the beach in Tampa, where she held sonogram photos while their dog, Fergus, sat in the sand.
One snap showed the Goldendoodle Irish Setter rescue wearing a bandana that read, “Big Brother Fergus.”
Mayfield, 28, was seen wearing hat with “Dad” on the front, while Emily gazed at him from behind.
Mayfield and Emily received a number of congratulatory messages in the comments from NFL stars and WAGs.
“Ayyyeee!! Congrats you guys!” Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce wrote.
“Yayyyy!!! 😍 Congrats guys!!!💕💖,” Brittany Mahomes, who’s married to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, wrote.
This marks the first child for the couple, who met through a mutual friend in 2017.
Emily previously told ESPN that she was reluctant to pursue Mayfield’s continued advances because “I was assuming he’d be the typical playboy athlete.”
The NFL star and the beauty influencer got engaged six months after their first date, and tied the knot in a stunning Malibu ceremony on July 6, 2019.
They were first publicly linked when they attended a Los Angeles Clippers game together in early 2018 — a few months before he was selected with the No. 1 pick by the Cleveland Browns in NFL Draft in April of that year.
Mayfield and Emily announced the pregnancy news a day after the Buccaneers beat the Carolina Panthers, 21-18, at Raymond James Stadium.
Mayfield completed 14 of 29 passes for 202 yards, one touchdown and an interception.
Tampa Bay (5-7) is tied with the New Orleans Saints for second place in the lowly NFC South.
The Bucs visit the Atlanta Falcons on Dec. 10 in a stretch of four of five games on the road.
