Britney Spears claimed in her memoir, The Woman in Me, that that every man would have to “submit a blood test” before going on a date with her. “When someone wanted to date me, the security team who answered to my father would run a background check on him, make him sign an NDA and even have him submit to a blood test,” Britney, 41, wrote. “Before a date, [Lou Taylor’s employee Robin Greenhill] would tell the man my medical and sexual history. To be clear: this was before the first date.”
Britney went on to note that “the whole thing was humiliating, and I know the insanity of this system kept me from finding basic companionship, having a fun night out, or making new friends — let alone falling in love.”
The Woman in Me — which hit book shelves on October 24 — includes Britney’s revelations about her conservatorship, rise to fame and personal relationships. Among the most outstanding claims she made was against her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake, from how he broke up with her to cheating allegations on both sides. However, the internet spiraled out of control when they read Britney’s bombshell claim that she was pregnant with her and Justin’s child, and she got an abortion because he didn’t want to be a father at that point in life.
Britney also revealed that Justin, 42, broke up with her via text after she cheated on him with dancer Wade Robson. However, she also claimed that the NSYNC band member stepped out on her during their relationship. Justin has not publicly responded to Britney’s allegations.
Britney also addressed her past relationship with ex-husband Kevin Federline. In another portion from her memoir, she admitted that she was “clueless” that Kevin’s ex-girlfriend was “eight months pregnant with his second baby” right when the “Womanizer” singer started dating him.
“I was living in a bubble, and I didn’t have a lot of good, close friends to confide in and get advice from,” she explained. “I had no idea until after we’d been together for a while and someone told me, ‘You know he has a new baby, right?’”
While reflecting on both of her relationships with Justin and Kevin, Britney revealed what her exes “ruined” for her.
“I used to trust people,” she concluded. “But after the breakup with Justin and then my divorce, I never really did trust people again. … Looking back, I think that both Justin and Kevin were very clever. They knew what they were doing, and I played right into it. So I was young, and I made a lot of mistakes. But I will say this: I wasn’t manipulative. I was just stupid.”
