Congratulations are in order for Brooks Koepka and his wife, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit hopeful Jena Sims.
The couple proudly announced Thursday the birth of their first child, son Crew, who arrived in late July.
Captioning their joint Instagram post, “I love my Crew,” the 33-year-old Koepka can be seen gazing at his bundle of joy, who is sweetly nestled in Sims’ arms.
Sims, who is a finalist in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s annual SwimSearch, detailed Crew’s birth in a series of Instagram Stories, revealing the new addition arrived six weeks early.
“Crew Sims Koepka was ready for the world because he decided to break my water just 2 minutes after Brooks walked inside the house from the gym on Thursday, July 27th at 5:50 pm. 6 weeks ahead of my due date. Already showing us who’s boss,” she wrote.
Sims then praised Koepka in a separate post, expressing how she has “never seen or felt so much love and felt more like a team than I have with Brooks throughout all of this.”
“He is already such an amazing father and partner and I was so thankful he was home for this. Couldn’t have done it without him,” Sims wrote.
“He made me laugh when I needed to, cried with me, held me, did everything possible he could to help my healing in the hospital, and I’m just so grateful.”
Sims, who announced her pregnancy in May, also shared that Crew will be “in the NICU [neonatal intensive care unit] for a little while longer.”
“He’s off oxygen, breathing on his own,” she posted in an Instagram Story. “He is starting to take a bottle (in very small amounts) otherwise feeding through his nose.
“He is meeting tiny milestones every day!”
In a separate post, Sims said she’s got “so much space in my heart for NICU parents, and those who don’t get to bring their babies home,” noting it’s the “hardest thing we’ve ever done.”
“We have been visiting him as much as possible,” she posted.
Crew arrived a little more than a month after Koepka and Sims marked their first wedding anniversary.
The couple tied the knot in Turks and Caicos last June.
