Some presidential candidates may want to hire Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker to help their efforts to encourage people to get out and vote.
Dicker and the team released a hilarious campaign video to get fans to vote the Los Angeles kicker into this year’s Pro Bowl in Orlando.
The team released the zany commercial-style video of the special teams star making his case to fans to get out and vote for him.
“Dicker the Kicker” has had a strong season alone that could make a pretty compelling case for him to be Pro Bowl-bound.
He’s converted 19 of his 20 field goal attempts — going 4 of 5 from 50-plus yards — and made all 34 of his extra points this season for the Chargers.
But the Chargers’ social media team concocted a unique video to help his Pro Bowl case, which features Dicker dressed in a suit and tie and screaming into the camera, evoking the feel of an infomercial for a low-grade law firm.
“Have you ever been victimized by a missed field goal?” he says at the onset of the video before a montage of missed field goals from other kickers is played.
“My name is Cameron Dicker and I’ll kick for you,” he adds. “Fifty, 40, 30, doesn’t matter. I’ll make it…Rain, sleet or snow, this leg’s ready to go.”
The 57-second video was posted on X with the caption: “don’t be a d*ck, repost to #probowlvote for Cameron Dicker.”
While Dicker has been playing at a Pro Bowl level this season, the Chargers have been struggling.
Los Angeles is 5-9 and just last week fired head coach Brandon Staley and general manager Tom Telesco after being embarrassed on national television during “Thursday Night Football” by the Raiders, 63-21.
The Chargers are down to their final three games of the season, with a date with the Bills on Saturday before facing the Broncos on New Year’s Eve.
On Jan. 7, they wrap up the 2023 campaign against the Chiefs and kicker Harrison Butker, who has only missed one kick this season.
