Chris Olave told police he plays for Saints amid speeding arrest

Louisiana police were not inclined to let Chris Olave slide on a speeding violation on account of his profession.

The Saints wideout was arrested by the Kenner (La.) Police Dept. on Monday after he was allegedly driving 70 miles per hour in a 35-mph zone.

Kenner PD posted video of Olave’s arrest.

In it, Olave admitted to speeding before dropping a line about his status.

“My bad, dawg,” Olave told the officer, before saying, “I play for the Saints, man.”

The officer was not swayed.

“And?” he asked.

Olave was arrested and released about two and a half hours later.

Police said that Olave was “recklessly maneuvering between lanes and around other drivers on the roadway” in his Dodge Charger, and he was charged with reckless operation of a motor vehicle.

“Bro was on the way back to the crib from CVS… aint nun serious,” Chris’ brother, Josh, wrote on X after the report that Chris had been arrested.

The footage was captured on a Kenner Police Dept. officer’s body camera at around 9 PM in Louisiana.
