Dave Portnoy goes on wild Kim Kardashian rant after Taylor Swift confession

Dave Portnoy has Taylor Swift’s back.

The Barstool Sports founder, who is a well-known Swiftie, unleashed a savage rant on Kim Kardashian after Swift rehashed their past feud in a recent cover interview with TIME as their 2023 Person of the Year.

“Oh yeah, I had her back in the whole Kanye [West] thing,” Portnoy said in a TikTok video, which featured various clips of him bashing Kardashian in previous rants.

“That f–king rat, Kim Kardashian… edited the phone call to make it seem like Taylor Swift’s a liar… you f–king lying snake.

“This is f–king jail time… you big booty woman… Kim Kardashian should be thrown in prison. I just hate f–king injustice and scumbags and f–king dishonest treacherous leaches.

“Just shut up or own up to it,” Portnoy said, referring to Kardashian’s denial that she edited a video of a past phone call between her ex-husband, rapper Kanye West, and Swift.

He added that he’s all for Swift teaming up with Drake, who’s had beef with West in the past, for a diss track about the ex-couple.

Portnoy was referring to the infamous 2016 phone call, during which West discussed his song “Famous” with Swift.

Kardashian posted video footage of the call on social media at the time that made it seem as though Swift had approved of the lyrics: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous.”

Swift denied that she had consented to it, but she was called a “liar” and a “snake” in a situation she told TIME she felt was “a career death” at the time.

In 2020, an extended version of what was said to be the same phone call leaked and appeared to indicate that the video Kardashian posted was edited.

Kardashian addressed the situation in a series of posts on Twitter (now X) at the time, in which she denied editing the conversation and accused Swift of lying.

“The lie was never about the word bitch, It was always whether there was a call or not and the tone of the conversation,” she wrote.

“I never edited the footage (another lie) – I only posted a few clips on Snapchat to make my point and the full video that recently leaked doesn’t change the narrative.”

Swift revisited the controversy in an interview with TIME.

“You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar,” Swift said in the interview, which was published on Wednesday. “That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before.

“I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn’t trust anyone anymore. I went down really, really hard.”

Kardashian has yet to publicly address Swift’s comments as of Thursday.
