deadmau5 has officially entered a new chapter of his career, announcing his first studio album in 10 years, set for 2026, alongside the release of his brand-new single ‘Ameonna’. Out now via his label mau5trap, the track introduces fans to the sound of his upcoming era – one that reconnects with his melodic roots while exploring new sonic depths.
Known for pioneering modern electronic production through timeless cuts like ‘Faxing Berlin’ and ‘Strobe’, deadmau5 continues to evolve his sound with ‘Ameonna’, an atmospheric instrumental that blends pressurized synths, cinematic layers, and intricate sound design. The track builds gradually, surrounding listeners in a world of tension and release—a hallmark of the Canadian producer’s style.
Alongside the single, deadmau5 also announced that he will officially retire his iconic Cube live setup and instead debut a brand-new show this November 7 & 8 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. Furthermore, the performance—serving as part of his annual day of the deadmau5 celebration – will feature a five-hour conceptual set, complete with appearances from his techno alias testpilot, exclusive new music, and ultimately culminating in a high-energy drum & bass finale.
The two-night Red Rocks takeover will also include a Denver mau5hop pop-up (95 S Cherokee Street, Denver), running daily from 5 AM to 7 PM, offering fans exclusive merchandise, vinyl, and the debut of the Atari x deadmau5 Meowingtons’ Revenge playable 7800 cartridge. deadmau5 will also meet fans in person from 12 PM to 3 PM each day.
With ‘Ameonna’, deadmau5 signals the beginning of a bold new phase – one that bridges innovation, nostalgia, and the relentless creativity that has defined his career for nearly two decades.
