Deion Sanders has transformed Colorado’s football program, but that has not made him immune to parking violations, apparently.
The Buffaloes head coach received a parking ticket on his car’s front windshield, according to a video from son Deion Sanders Jr.
In the video, Sanders Jr. is seen going up to a white Lamborghini and appears gobsmacked that his dad, who has led Colorado to a 3-0 start in his first year on campus, was ticketed.
“Lamborghini Prime. I love to see it,” Sanders Jr. said. “They even gave him a ticket. They even gave my dad a ticket. Yeah, boys — crazy.”
It’s been a rough week for the elder Sanders, who had a run-in with a rat in his office on the Boulder campus.
“We called it a rat, but it wasn’t big enough to be a rat, but it was a mouse. I’m scared, I can’t do this, I can’t live like this. I’m in Boulder, Colorado — I cannot live like this,” Sanders said in a video. “So, help is going to be on the way today. One of us has got to go.”
As for things on the field, Sanders could have his hands full as his 19th-ranked Buffaloes are set to take on No. 10 Oregon in a heated Pac-12 battle.
But between Sanders’ leadership and his son, Shedeur Sanders, becoming a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate with his strong quarterback play, Colorado has become immensely popular this year, both at the school and nationally.
“CU Boulder has been the epicenter of the national sports world, which has provided unprecedented exposure for our university across the country,” CU Chancellor Phil DiStefano said in a statement to the Daily Camera. “I am impressed by the excitement that has permeated campus, which is less quantifiable but certainly as important as record-setting merchandise and ticket sales.”
