Diplo again asks for Skrillex forgiveness, hopes for Jack Ü return

A decade ago, Diplo and Skrillex came together for one of the most anticipated projects in dance music, Jack Ü. The producer’s fallout has been well documented, but Diplo continues to push for a reconciliation.

At the time of Jack Ü, Diplo and Skrillex were two of the top DJs and producers on the planet, and their coming together sent a massive wave of excitement through the music scene. The duo immediately captured the attention of fans everywhere with their debut single Take Ü There before topping the charts alongside Justin Bieber with the release of Where Are Ü Now. Despite this seemingly perfect collaboration, Diplo and Skrillex would part ways after just one album, with a few public squabbles and the former asking again and again for a reconciliation.

In his latest attempt to get back in the good graces of Skrillex, Diplo stopped by Kaysan’s Twitch stream and once again brought up the rift between the two artists. During the stream, Kaysan brings up the days of Jack Ü, and Diplo says, “Go find Skrillex and tell him to forgive me for my sins.” From here, the two continue to reminisce about past performances, including a HARD Summer and Coachella sets that saw Justin Bieber and Kanye West hopping on stage. The hopes for a reunion have been a constant theme for Diplo, while Skrillex has remained mute on the issue, spending his time with collaborators such as Four Tet, Fred again.., and Hambi in recent years.
