The NFL could be dealing with another team staff member getting into an apparent on-field altercation with a player.
Eagles star A.J. Brown and a member of the Seahawks staff were in each other’s faces during “Monday Night Football.”
The ESPN broadcast showed Brown going into the face of an unidentified Seahawks staff member wearing a jacket.
The two appeared to be jawing at one another before the official separated the pair.
The incident took place on a third down incompletion and according to multiple reporters at the game, the Seahawks staff member had been the one to initiate contact with Brown first.
On the video the staff member appears to lean his shoulder into Brown.
“A.J. Brown was shoved by someone on the Seahawks sideline at the conclusion of that last play,” Josh Tolentino of the Philadelphia Inquirer wrote on X. “Brown, the only Eagle on that side of the field, stepped back toward the sideline, but the scrum was quickly broken up by officials.”
Another broadcast clip showed that the situation began after Brown shoved Seahawks cornerback Mike Jackson Sr. as they were headed back onto the field.
Then the unknown staff member made contact with the Eagles receiver escalating the situation.
The situation occurred a few weeks after the Eagles were embroiled in another altercation, this one between their security chief Dom DiSandro following a scuffle with 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw.
DiSandro was reportedly in a skybox for Monday’s game with the Seahawks and the ESPN cameras showed him after a replay of the incident.
The incident between DiSandro and Greenlaw led to the Eagles security chief being suspended from the sideline for the remainder of the regular season, according to multiple reports.
He is still allowed to travel with the Eagles and conduct all of his game-day duties, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
The altercation also led to the NFL sending out a memo to remind teams to ensure “that all members of your game-day staff understand that their role does not extend to being involved with game-day altercations and that they must refrain from such involvement.”
It’s unclear as of now if the NFL will get involved again with this new incident.
