49ers (-3) over EAGLES
It’s revenge time for San Francisco.
The Eagles talked tons of trash after they beat the 49ers in the NFC Championship last season, but now San Fran is fully healthy with 10 days to prepare for the Eagles, who are coming off a dogfight against the Bills.
The Niners are No. 1 in offense and defense, according to Pro Football Focus, while also ranking No. 2 in DVOA, ahead of the Eagles who rated No. 9. With 10 days to prepare, bet the better team in the 49ers at -3 (+100).
We could see this line get to 2.5 by game time.
Falcons (-2.5) over JETS
We all want to see the Jets go on a miracle run with Aaron Rodgers rehabbing along at practice in Florham Park. Sounds too good to be true. Have you heard that one before when talking about the Jets?
Tim Boyle has been a disaster for the Jets and hasn’t shown to be a player in the NFL once.
And that’s not to say that the Falcons’ Desmond Ridder is much better, but at least they can complete passes.
Betting on the NFL?
The Jets are averaging 166.6 passing yards per game this season, second-worst in the NFL.
PFF has the Falcons graded as a borderline playoff team (12th best in the NFL), meanwhile, the Jets are barely serviceable. Don’t bet on the Jets this weekend.
Last week: 1-1. Browns (L), Ravens (W)
Season: 8-14-2.
