New York’s former “hottest bachelor” Eric Schmidt has been spotted back with his wife Wendy — after he plowed $100 million into his much younger girlfriend’s tech startup.
The ex-CEO Google and his longtime spouse — who reportedly enjoy an open relationship — rubbed elbows with fellow billionaires and celebrities at a 60th birthday bash for Obama White House interior designer Michael S. Smith on Saturday.
The pair wore giant smiles as they exited the party, with Wendy — sporting a vintage baby blue Chanel dress — seen tenderly placing a hand on Schmidt’s back as they piled into their car, photographs published by the Daily Mail show.
The outing was the first time that the Schmidts have been spotted in public together since 2019.
It comes after Schmidt, 69, became financially entangled with 30-year-old girlfriend Michelle Ritter, committing a notable slice of his $20 billion fortune to Steel Perlot, Forbes reported.
Ritter — a Columbia law grad — launched the startup accelerator the same year the two became romantically linked.
Ritter told Forbes in October 2023 Schmidt took on the role as a “very, very active chairman” in exchange for the funds, emphasizing that they “have a very typical CEO-chairman relationship.”
It’s believed to be the first time the tech mogul has publicly mixed business and pleasure.
But Ritter and Schmidt haven’t been seen together publicly since April 2023, when they hit a Beverly Hills house party whose guest list included Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez, Katy Perry and Oprah.
Schmidt did not respond to a request for comment, while Ritter said she had “no comment” on their relationship.
The Post’s Page Six broke the story that the pair were dating in 2021, two years after dubbing Schmidt “New York City’s hottest bachelor.”
Schmidt and Ritter — with 30 years dividing them — enjoyed a public tryst across the globe, all while Schmidt and Wendy celebrate their 40-year marriage.
Sources told Page Six in 2019 that the Schmidts have had an open arrangement for at least a decade, with the tech mogul buying up love nests in major cities to conduct his numerous relationships.
He has been linked with high-profile ladies including fashion designer (and Jerry Seinfeld’s ex) Shoshanna Gruss, socialite Ulla Parker and Kate Bohner, a former CNBC correspondent who now owns her own communications advisory firm — and is said to have dated up to six women at once.
“He likes to have a ship in every port,” one of his exes told Page Six at the time.
Schmidt and Wendy were last seen together in public in November 2019, when they cozied up at the LACMA Art + Film Gala Presented By Gucci in Los Angeles.
While Schmidt busies himself with ladies and his girlfriend’s tech venture, Wendy, 68, serves as president for two of her and her husband’s philanthropic ventures: the Schmidt Family Foundation and Schmidt Ocean Institute.
Wendy, a former journalism student, serves on the board of Climate Central, a nonprofit news organization that analyzes and reports on climate science.
