College basketball is often dubbed as the most profitable sport for bettors, but not this profitable.
A bettor at FanDuel Sportsbook nailed the Winning Margin on seven different college basketball games Tuesday night, the second evening of the college hoops season.
The odds were more than 10,000/1, coming in at +1136485, or an implied probability of about 0.01.
The parlay won the bettor a whopping $11,365.85 off a one-dollar gamble.
Six of the seven picks were plus-odds bets.
The bettor tossed Creighton — who were massive -35.5 favorites heading into the game — to win by 31+, which was -800 at FanDuel, into the parlay to add slightly more juice.
The plus-odds picks were Presbyterian, North Texas, Purdue Fort Wayne, Baylor and San Jose State to each win by 6-10 and Michigan to win by 21-25, which, of course, all came to be.
Betting on College Basketball?
There were a few extremely close near-misses that almost killed the parlay.
Presbyterian, North Texas and Baylor won by exactly six points, just barely getting in the range needed to keep the big bet alive.
Winning Margin bets like this one can provide pretty big payouts if you nail them, but with such small windows to hit, wins like this one are rare.
