It’s impossible to deny the influence and unique career path that Fred again.. has crafted for himself. Following one of the most iconic b2b sets of the century, the producer is still in awe of the experience.
In the midst of his 10 tracks, 10 cities build up towards the second volume of his USB album collection, Fred again.. took the stage with one of the most iconic DJs on the planet. When news surfaced that Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk fame joined him on stage last week, the internet went into a frenzy over the massive set. Despite releasing one of the most popular songs of the last decade, the Daft Punk robots haven’t performed publicly since their 2007 run of shows. This made the appearance of Bangalter, without a mask, even more memorable due to his lack of public sets this century. Of course, Fred again.. continues to be filled with his boy-like energy regarding the set, even a week later.
Talking with BBC Radio 1, Fred again.. still appears speechless regarding the monumental set. Despite having performed around the globe to massive audiences, he understands the magnitude of sharing the stage with Bangalter. When asked about the event, the producer just smiles from ear to ear, clearly still shocked but so appreciative to have been a part of such an amazing moment in electronic music. It is a heart-warming moment, and one that truly captures why Fred again.. is one of the most fun and relatable superstars of the modern age.
