George Pickens fails to get second foot down that costs Steelers TD

George Pickens should have had a go-ahead touchdown reception, but instead, all he got was grief for not coming away with a catch.

On Thursday night, the Steelers receiver failed to get both feet down on a pass from quarterback Kenny Pickett that was originally ruled a touchdown and then quickly overturned to an incomplete pass after a conference by the officials, in a game that turned out to be a 20-16 Pittsburgh win.

A replay clearly showed Pickens making the grab and planting his right foot down inbounds.

But his left foot finally came down on the white boundary line, upsetting a lot of Steelers fans — and fantasy owners — in the process.

The Steelers were down 16-13 with 5:44 left in the third quarter when the play occurred.

It was a rough night for Pickens, who only had a pair of receptions and finished with minus-1 receiving yards.

Ironically, moments later, Pickens made an impressive catch on the sideline as Titans QB Will Levis through the ball out of bounds.

Pickens made the leaping grab from the bench, which several fans noticed and mocked him for.

However, his biggest detractors on social media on Thursday night seemed to be upset fantasy football managers and betters.

“George Pickens is never touching another ticket of mine ever again,” one user wrote on X.

“George Pickens better enjoy his last time starting for my fantasy football team,” another irate fan wrote.

“And people thought that George Pickens was their WR1. Sit down. Ha,” a third person wrote on social media.

Thursday’s game was the second consecutive week that Pickens struggled on the field.

He had one reception for five yards last week against the Jaguars.
