Let’s call it a kick-off.
The Giants signed Cade York to their 53-man roster to continue a two-day overhaul of their kicking situation, according to head coach Brian Daboll.
York, a fourth-round pick of the Browns in 2022, was on the Titans practice squad.
Graham Gano, who has missed six of 17 field goals this season, is undergoing knee surgery and headed to injured reserve.
The Giants’ first move was to sign veteran Randy Bullock to the practice squad.
The plan for Friday’s practice was to allow both York and Bullock to kick and make a decision on who is in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Raiders.
York is 24-of-32 on field goals and 35-of-37 on PATs in his regular-season career.
He was of 4-of-8 in the preseason, including 0-of-2 on critical late-game kicks, before he was cut by the Browns when they traded for Dustin Hopkins at the end of training camp.
