Xavi is officially a Billboard Hot 100-charting artist, thanks to the arrival of his two breakthrough singles, “La Diabla” and “La Victima.”
Both songs debut on the Dec. 30-dated Hot 100, at Nos. 76 and 91, respectively. The former enters with 8.9 million official U.S. streams and latter with 6.9 million in the Dec. 15-21 tracking week, according to Luminate.
“La Diabla” and “La Victima” also reach new heights on the latest Hot Latin Songs chart. “La Diabla” jumps 16-4, while “La Victima” gains 8-7. Xavi also has two additional songs on the list: “Poco a Poco,” with Dareyes de La Sierra, rises 30-26 and “Modo DND,” with Tony Aguirre, ascends 34-30.
Recent gains for “La Diabla” and “La Victima” can partly be attributed to strong activity on TikTok. “La Diabla” has soundtracked over 500,000 clips on the platform, while “La Victima” has been used in over 70,000.
Xavi (real name: Joshua Xavier Gutierrez), 19, is a Mexican-American singer-songwriter from Arizona. He appeared on his first Billboard ranking in November, when “La Victima” debuted on the Hot Latin Songs chart. Outside of his hits on the Hot 100 and Hot Latin Songs, “La Diabla” soars 104-32 on the Billboard Global 200 and “La Victima” jumps 112-79.
“Honestly, I just can’t believe it,” Xavi told Billboard about his chart success earlier this month. “Looking at the artists and songs that are in the [Hot Latin Songs] top 10 makes me feel very honored and humbled. I’m also very grateful to the team and all the fans who have supported the song. I feel truly blessed.”
