Blurring the line between industrial grit and electronic polish, Staytus isn’t just making music, she’s building immersive emotional landscapes. The brainchild of prodigious recording artist Sam Grundemann, Staytus transforms inner turmoil into genre-defying soundscapes that feel more like visceral experiences than songs.
Her latest single, “Headache”, produced by legendary sonic alchemist Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails, 8mm), is a searing exorcism of burnout, betrayal, and the mental wreckage of toxic relationships. It doesn’t just hit hard—it haunts. Following the dark brilliance of her Twisted Frames series—an atmospheric collection inspired by the surreal films of Matthew Gray Gubler—Staytus continues to push boundaries. Tracks like “68 Kill,” “Suburban Gothic,” “King Knight,” and the crushing closer “How To Be A Serial Killer” (produced by Matt McJunkins of A Perfect Circle) dive deep into emotional distortion through a sound that’s as cinematic as it is confrontational.
Unflinchingly raw, brutally honest, and sonically fearless, Staytus is not chasing trends, she’s crafting a world all her own. And with each release, she pulls you deeper in.
This is just the beginning.
