Jack Kay, better known as viral internet sensation Ibiza Final Boss, has threatened legal action against an Aberdeen nightclub promoter after an advert allegedly misled fans into thinking he would appear at their event.
The controversy began when Instagram account Vanity Fridays promoted an “Ibiza Final Boss Rave” at Babylon nightclub on Alford Place. The post featured Kay’s image, leading followers to believe the influencer himself would attend. However, Kay’s management team swiftly accused the promoter of “conning the public” and issued a legal notice demanding the advert be removed. The warning also mentioned the possibility of imposing a “licence fee” on revenue generated from the event.
The timing added confusion, since Ibiza Final Boss will genuinely appear at Aura nightclub in Aberdeen during Fresher’s Week. Kay, whose eccentric look and viral Ibiza dance videos have turned him into one of 2025’s breakout internet stars, has been touring the UK with appearances that draw packed crowds.
After receiving the legal threat, the promoter deleted the post from Instagram. Neither the promoters of Vanity Nights nor Babylon nightclub have issued a public statement.
Kay’s management stressed that misleading fans damages both his reputation and the trust of audiences, particularly at a time when his popularity continues to soar.
