James Harden having a blast in China after slam of 76er’s Daryl Morey

James Harden is gallivanting around China without a care in the world, after calling 76ers president Daryl Morey a “liar” and declaring an intention to not play for the organization.

Videos circulating on social media show a jubilant Harden.

In one of the videos, Harden is seen doing a choreographed dance with an Adidas model, perpetually a step behind in the dance moves but nonetheless wearing a wide cheesing grin.

In another, Harden joined a live stream on Douyin, a Chinese social media platform that is similar to TikTok, where the goal was to see how much of his wine they could sell quickly.

Harden, 33, guessed that maybe a few cases would be sold, and they informed him that they sold out 10,000 bottles in the span of about 30 seconds.

The whole thing may or may not have been staged, but Harden was in great spirits regardless, clapping and cheering about the feat.

Harden expressed his dismay with Morey in no uncertain terms on Monday.

“Daryl Morey is a liar and I will never be a part of an organization that he’s a part of,” Harden, who requested a trade out of Philly in June, said in a clip shared by NBA reporter Shams Charania.

“Let me say that again: Daryl Morey is a liar and I will never be a part of an organization that he’s a part of.”

It was likely no coincidence that Harden made these remarks in China, where Morey has been rebuked after supporting Hong Kong freedom protestors in 2019.

Harden is immensely popular in the country in large part because the Rockets were the nation’s favored team dating back to Yao Ming’s NBA career from 2002-11.
