Britney Spears’ estranged dad Jamie emerged in a wheelchair Tuesday in his first public sighting since getting his leg amputated.
Jamie, 71, was photographed being wheeled out of a warehouse in Kentwood, Louisiana, by another man who was dressed in a camouflage jacket and hat.
“He’s still living in an RV next to Britney’s storage warehouse with all her stuff in it,” an insider told Page Six earlier this month, adding that he “had a knee replacement and got a terrible infection from it.”
Papa Spears got himself into the passenger side of a nearby vehicle in the new photos with only his left leg as his right leg was reportedly amputated four inches above the knee in November.
“He had a knee replacement and got a terrible infection from it,” an insider told Page Six earlier this month, who added that Jamie received multiple unsuccessful surgeries before the amputation.
Another source told TMZ that Jamie was fitted with a prosthetic leg but will use the wheelchair and walker until he’s able to use it.
The Post has contacted a rep for Britney for comment.
Jamie was Britney’s conservator from February 2008 until it ended in November 2021.
The “Toxic” singer has accused him of mistreating her during its run and also mismanaging her finances.
Britney wrote in her bestselling memoir, “The Woman in Me,” earlier this year that she resented her dad because he appeared to see her “as put on the earth for no other reason than to help their cash flow.“
Jamie is believed to have paid himself an estimated $6 million throughout Britney’s conservatorship.
Britney recently reconnected with her mother, Lynn, for her 42nd birthday but has no plans to reach out to Jamie despite his sickness.
She did, however, share a series of throwback pics with alongside father on Instagram last week. The post has since been deleted.
Page Six reported in October that Jamie was “seriously ill” as sources told the outlet that he had lost over 25 pounds due to issues stemming from a knee replacement he received in the mid-2000s.
