Jets fan loses teeth in anger at team, Zach Wilson’s poor play

The state of the Jets has the fanbase spitting mad these days.

So much so that one fan lost his teeth on Sunday while watching the Jets fall to the New England Patriots 15-10 at MetLife Stadium.

The CBS cameras caught a gentleman in green wearing a poncho screaming at the play on the field in the second quarter as he yelled with such force that his teeth popped out as the Jets trailed 3-0.

He quickly caught them and pushed them back into his mouth.

“Jets fans are furious Tony,” Jim Nantz said to fellow broadcaster Tony Romo in the clip.

“You can see it on their face, the frustration, Romo responded. “Look it. You know you are frustrated when your teeth come out.”

The comment sent Nantz into a fit of laughter.

The Jets dropped their second consecutive game on Sunday and continued their struggles against the division-rival Patriots.

Things were so bad on Sunday that Jets legend and Hall of Famer Joe Namath was criticizing both starter Zach Wilson and the coaching staff on social media.

“I’m starting to wonder if Zach’s playing like he’s being coached,” Namath said on X, formerly known as Twitter. “He’s making choices that are not intuitive to the quarterback position.”

That was just one of several posts by the NFL great during the course of the dismal game.

The fans showed Wilson little mercy either as they loudly booed him over the course of the game as things took a turn.

However, the Jets have remained steadfast in their support of their starting quarterback.

Robert Saleh again reaffirmed that Wilson will remain the team’s No. 1 QB, which isn’t likely going to make many Jets fans happy.

And things aren’t going to get any easier for the Jets over the next few weeks, with a visit from the Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs on the horizon.

With that in mind, Sunday may not be the last time a Jets fan loses their teeth in anger this season.
