Now that’s a star-studded birthday party.
Cardinals tight end Zach Ertz and Spanish golf star Jon Rahm share a Nov. 10 birthdate, and they celebrated in style Thursday night.
Rahm posted a group shot from the outing that included former NFL star JJ Watt and wife Kealia, a former soccer player, Rahm and wife Kelley, who threw javelin at Arizona State, Ertz and his wife Julie — a USWNT star — and Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps and his wife Nicole Johnson, who holds the Miss California 2010 crown.
“What a great evening, it was an honor to celebrate Zach and my birthday with this great group of friends,” Rahm wrote. “I encourage you to guess what the topic of conversation was.”
Whatever it was, it doesn’t appear they’ll be telling anytime soon.
“Some topics: very guessable,” Watt wrote in the comments. “Other topics: IMPOSSIBLE.”
Ok, well — some of the beans were spilled by Watt, who retired in 2022 after 12 NFL seasons.
“All sports were insulted equally at the table tonight,” he wrote on Twitter alongside the group photo. “Happy Birthday Ertzy & Rahmbo!!”
Whatever it was, there’s no denying they all enjoyed themselves fully — even in an Instagram Story posted by Julie Ertz of their intimate desert, complete with a rendition of “Happy Birthday.”
“Great night…. Amazing food…. And some unforgettable convos,” Phelps wrote on Instagram — along with several crying laughing emoji.
Sports fans may be hard-pressed to think of a better way to ring in the birthdays — Rahm’s 29th and Ertz’s 33rd — than with a collection of athletes who combine for 29 Olympic medals, two World Cup golds, three NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards, a Masters title and a U.S. Open win.
More impressive? Whoever picked up the check for this excursion.
