Joe Flacco signs with Browns’ practice squad

Joe Flacco has himself a job.

The former Super Bowl MVP will join the Cleveland Browns practice squad, according to multiple reports.

Flacco is expected to sign the deal on Monday.

It’s also expected that Flacco will be elevated to the Browns’ active roster, according to ESPN.

Flacco worked out for the Browns on Friday as Cleveland looked to add another quarterback after they lost Deshaun Watson for the rest of the season due to a fracture in his throwing shoulder.

The Browns have rookie QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson and PJ Walker in the fold, but Flacco comes with a bit of a pedigree.

Cleveland came away from Friday’s workout thinking that it had been a “very impressive” session, according to Pro Football Talk

Flacco has 42,320 passing yards and 232 touchdowns to his name during the course of his 15 seasons in the NFL.
