Juan Soto takes in Dolphins-Titans game after Yankees trade

New Yankees star Juan Soto took a trip to Miami just days after he was acquired from the Padres in a trade on Wednesday night as part of a blockbuster deal.

The 25-year-old outfielder took in the Dolphins-Titans game with his younger brother, Elian Soto, and Cincinnati Reds infielder Elly De La Cruz on Monday, according to Elian’s Instagram Story, which featured a photo of the trio in a private suite at Hard Rock Stadium.

Elian, 17, also shared a video of the field, as well as a clip of the Dolphins’ cheerleaders performing a dance routine.

Juan Soto, a three-time All-Star, is set to speak to reporters Tuesday at 4 p.m. for the first time since the trade.

The Yankees also received two-time Gold Glove center fielder Trent Grisham from the Padres.

San Diego received right-handed pitchers Michael King, Jhony Brito, Randy Vásquez and Drew Thorpe along with catcher Kyle Higashioka.

Soto is expected to slot in as the Yankees’ right fielder, with Aaron Judge shifting to center and the recently acquired Alex Verdugo manning left field.

Grisham will serve as a fourth outfielder and late-game defensive replacement.

In the 2023 season, Soto batted .275/.410/.519 (158 OPS+) in 162 games for San Diego, and hit 35 homers, 32 doubles, a triple — and had 109 RBIs.

Soto, who’s established himself as one of the best hitters in baseball, helped the Nationals win the 2019 World Series.

He is a career .284 hitter with a .421 on-base percentage.

The Yankees added Soto after a 82-80 season, the organization’s worst since 1992.

An outfielder from the Dominican Republic, Elian was among 14 international free agents who signed with the Washington Nationals on the first day of the 2023 international signing period on Jan. 15.

De La Cruz, 21, made his major league debut with the Reds in June.
