Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson have made the joint request to delay their restraining order hearing, which had been filed by the actress in early November.
The hearing was scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 5, while court-ordered mediation began on Nov. 29.
The 30-year-old “Nope” star was previously granted temporary sole custody of her 9-month-old son, Leodis “Leo” Andrellton, with her estranged ex and a temporary domestic violence restraining order after alleging that he repeatedly abused her during their relationship.
Palmer claimed that Jackson, 29, had been “unhinged, volatile and dangerous to both me and our son,” according to court documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and reviewed by USA Today.
As a result of the emergency filing of the temporary restraining order, the Los Angeles County judge ruled that Jackson must stay at least 100 yards away from the “Hustlers” star and their son.
According to court documents viewed and obtained by People, the television host and fitness instructor asked to have the court date moved to “allow the parties time to attend mediation. The parties request that the Mediation and Petitioner’s DVRO be continued to a mutually agreeable date.”
But the exes have also agreed that the temporary restraining order “shall remain in full force and effect” until the rescheduled hearing.
In her original filing, Palmer alleged that Jackson abused her “multiple times over the past 2+ years.” The “2 Minutes of Fame” star also described in writing a multitude of instances of alleged physical and emotional abuse and provided graphic security camera video stills as evidence.
Additionally, Palmer alleged that there were “many instances of physical violence, including striking and grabbing me around the neck, descriptions of Darius destroying my personal property, including diaries and prescription eyeglasses, throwing my belongings into the street, throwing my car keys to prevent me from driving away, hitting me in front of our son, spewing profanities about me to our son, threatening to kill himself with a gun if I left him, harassment, and other physical and emotional abuse.”
The Post has reached out to reps of Jackson and Palmer for comment.
Palmer began dating Jackson in 2021, with the couple welcoming son Leodis two years later in February 2023.
Palmer claimed that she and Jackson “finally ended for good” in early October “primarily due to the physical and emotional abuse inflicted on [her] by [him] throughout [their] relationship.”
“It is because of our son, Leo, that I was finally able to end my relationship with Darius once and for all and escape the abuse,” she wrote. “Leo is the most important thing in the entire world to me; he needs and deserves to be safe and grow up in an environment free from violence.”
She added, “Unfortunately, ending my relationship with Darius has not ended his abuse — if anything, he is even more unhinged, volatile and dangerous to both me and our son.”
