In dance music, and with the rise of the internet, it is not uncommon for artists to debut tracks at major festivals and performances but never release them. A decade ago, Martin Garrix delivered one of the most unlikely of collaborations during a set in 2015, and fans are still hoping for an official release.
With massive hits alongside stars such as Dua Lipa, Bebe Rexha, Khalid, and more, Martin Garrix is no stranger to working with A-list pop stars. Earlier in his career, he crafted a track titled Rewind Repeat It alongside English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. The track was played out in several iterations for about a year or so before the producer revealed that it would not be seeing an official release. Despite this, fans have collected and shared plenty of ripped audio and live video of Garrix playing the track over the years.
Despite years of silence regarding this beloved ID, Garrix and Sheeran seem to be turning their attention back to the iconic track. In a recent post to Instagram, the two artists can be seen in a selfie with just a 🔁 symbol as the headline. Naturally, fans everywhere believe this is tied to Rewind Repeat It and hope that an official release will be forthcoming. In the decade since it was first revealed, Martin Garrix has maintained his position atop the dance music scene while Ed Sheeran has exploded to massive levels of superstardom, often delivering multiple nights at stadiums when he tours.
