Your favorite mattress salesman is eight wins away from another multi-million dollar winner.
After the Astros made quick work of the Twins, ousting them in four games in the ALDS, they also launched themselves to World Series favorite status at Caesars Sportsbook.
And Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale now stands to win $43.4 million on just $6.9 million in wagers.
Just as the Astros seemed like they could miss the playoffs in late September, Mack announced he bet $1 million on the Astros at +1100 on Caesars Sportsbook, the longest odds the team had during the season.
The Mariners were surging at the time, and the Rangers had a three-game AL West division lead.
Mattress Mack World Series bets
- Preseason: $1.9 million at +600 to win $11.4 million at Caesars Sportsbook
- Sept. 15: $2 million at +600 to win $12 million at DraftKings
- Sept. 27: $1 million at +1100 to win $11 million at Caesars Sportsbook
- Pre-ALDS: $2 million at +450 to win $9 million
But the Astros ultimately won the division on the season’s final day, and they have now dropped all the way down to +240 on Caesars, the best odds of the five remaining teams to win the 2023 World Series.
Mack won a record-breaking $75 million on the Astros winning the World Series last season, money that went to his Houston furniture customers who won free products.
The furniture tycoon must be chomping at the bit to get another big win, which would combine for a wild $118 million over the last two years if they do win the last game of the season.

Last week, he announced another big bet on the Astros to win the World Series at +1100 in a Caesars Sportsbook advertisement that featured the betting icon dressed in a toga as Julius Caesar and two women feeding him fruit.
Houston opens a best-of-seven series opposite the Texas Rangers in Houston on Sunday, and the Astros are -145 favorites to win the pennant and reach the 2023 World Series.
