The Tommy DeVito takeover is real.
The Giants’ third-string quarterback, who became an unexpected hero in the Meadowlands after leading the Giants to three straight wins in the 2023-24 season, isn’t the only one fans are clamoring to know more about.
DeVito’s Italian family — including his parents, Alexandra DeVito and Tom DeVito Sr., and younger brother Max DeVito — garnered attention from fans and ESPN cameras, when the animated bunch celebrated together during the Giants’ 24-22 win over the Packers on “Monday Night Football” at MetLife Stadium on Dec. 11, 2023.
The 25-year-old signal caller made waves when he revealed in November 2023 that he still lives at home with his parents in New Jersey, where his mom still makes his bed and has chicken cutlets ready for him after football.

What do Tom Sr. and Alexandra do for a living?
Tom DeVito Sr. is a third-generation plumber and runs DeVito Plumbing & Heating, located in Montclair, N.J.
“I’m probably the fastest boiler installer you’ve ever seen,” the 56-year-old told The Post, adding that he “used to work 100-hour weeks.”
As for the matriarch of the DeVito family? Alexandra, who goes by Lexy, is a proud mom.
She actually makes a bunch of Tommy Cutlets merchandise, including T-shirts, sweatshirts, buttons and furry fingerless gloves for women that she sells on Facebook, according to Fox 5 New York.
Her Instagram page is filled with tributes to her family, as well as posts praising sons DeVito and Max.
How many children do they have?
DeVito and Max are Alexandra and Tom DeVito Sr.’s two sons.
Max graduated with a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Salve Regina University in May 2023.
He currently works as an MCA Broker at the New York Tribeca Group, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Where do the DeVitos live – and does the Giants quarterback really still live with his parents?
DeVito lives with his parents in Cedar Grove, N.J., and previously explained why it was a “no-brainer” to stay put at the family home.
“Everything that I need is there at the house,” he told ESPN in November 2023. “The decision was made since this level of football is stressful for a rookie, especially from the quarterback position. There is a lot going on, a lot of meetings. So everything outside of football is handled by my family.
“I don’t have to worry about laundry, what I’m eating for dinner, chicken cutlets and all that is waiting for me when I get there. My mom still makes my bed. Everything is handled for me. Honestly, I don’t even know if I could find a place closer to here than where I live. It takes me 12 minutes to get here.”
After that, DeVito garnered the nickname, “Tommy Cutlets,” which became a sports and entertainment phenomenon.
How have Tom Sr. and Alexandra been enjoying their son’s 2023 season?
It’s safe to say DeVito’s parents are thriving in the spotlight of his NFL success.
The family is famous at MetLife Stadium, where they hosted a massive tailgate with Italian food — including Alexandra’s signature chicken cutlet sandwich — ahead of the Giants-Packers game on Dec. 11, 2023.
DeVito’s parents provided more than 300 chicken cutlets for 300 of his friends and family, according to Fox 5 New York, which said the sandwiches were prepared by his cousin, Danny DeVito.
The tailgate featured beers with “Tommy Cutlets” labels, baked ziti, rice balls and a large Italian flag that showed DeVito doing his signature hang gesture on it.
“We’re just so excited,” Alexandra said during the tailgate. “It’s an amazing feeling that we’re having and we’re enjoying the ride.”
Tom DeVito Sr. described it as a “surreal” time for the family.
“It’s hard to wrap your head around,” he said. “It’s really the support the friends the family the communicates. Ive never seen anything like it. It’s overwhelming.”
Max is proud of his big brother.
“It’s honestly been great to just watch him,” he said. “I’ve always been going to all of his games and just seeing him now … it’s surreal.”
What is Tommy DeVito like at home?
“He’s kinda chill,” Alexandra said. “He’s very relaxed but he gets excited.
“He’s kind of just a chill — cool as a cucumber type of thing. He’s really enjoying it. We’re really blessed right now.”
What is Tommy DeVito’s mom’s chicken cutlet recipe?
“It’s a secret recipe,” Alexandra said. “It’s the way you make it, and Tommy and Max love it, and everybody that comes to my house loves it.
“That’s just his favorite dish, it’s always been.”
DeVito prefers vodka sauce on his chicken cutlet sandwich.
