Meet the mom, daughter who give each other bikini waxes

Some people never cut the apron strings.

TLC’s reality show “sMothered,” which focuses on overly close moms and daughters (co-produced by The Post) returns for Season 5  on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 10 pm.

This season will feature a mixture of returning pairs from past seasons – such as Chicago duo Kathy, 64, and Cristina, 38 – who have been with the show since Season 1. Florida pair Mary, 59, and Brittani, 23, who have been with the show since Season 2, are also returning.

Season 5 is also introducing four new pairs: Connecticut “pageant queens” Catherine, 56, and Gabriella, 23; Atlanta based dancers Sky, 45, and Skylar, 19; Houston, TX based Eva, 65, and Sunnie, 36. The show will also feature its first mother-in-law and son-in-law pair with Atlanta based India, 59, and Trevor, 37.

Ahead of Season 5, the Post spoke with India and Trevor, and Eva and Sunnie.

Mama’s boy

India, who works in the billing department of a hospital, and Trevor, who is a real estate agent and strength coach, are an unusual addition to “sMothered” as a mother and son-in-law.

But, ever since they met in 2008 when Trevor first started dating India’s daughter, DeLeesa, India and Trevor have been thick as thieves, and they call each other “best friends.”

Trevor and India are the show’s first mom and son in law pair. TLC

“[We do] everything,” said Trevor. “Going to the movies, going to bingo, going out to eat, we match [clothes]. We get haircuts together. We don’t even think about it, it’s second nature – like, ‘I’m going to go get a haircut – Ma, are you coming?’”

They also eat from each other’s mouths. “I don’t take the food out of her mouth and eat it like birds,” said Trevor. “But if she’s got a piece of candy hanging there and I want half, I’ll just bite it. For me, it’s not that awkward.”

India said that her daughter and Trevor’s wife, DeLeesa, doesn’t understand their relationship. “She’s jealous,” she said. “She’s like, ‘That’s my mom.’”

When they go out in public, Trevor said, “Nine times out of ten, we’ll match clothes. It’s fun. I think it’s a nice look, too. If we’re wearing matching clothes, people assume that we’re a couple, so we have to clarify, ‘No, we’re mother and son in law.’ It doesn’t matter, it’s whatever. It’s not up to us to manage other people’s expectations and opinions.”

Helping with each other’s beauty routines – everywhere

Eva and Sunnie are boutique salon owners who specialize in esthetics. From shaving each other’s armpits to giving each other facials down there, Eva and Sunnie don’t think it’s weird to give each other spa treatments, instead of getting those services from outside professionals.

“We got our blood and did a crafting day, we put it in a vial on a necklace, so I wear my mom’s, and she wears mine. People think it’s super weird, but I think it’s cool,” Sunnie told the Post.

Among the activities she does with her mom, she listed, “Popping each other’s pimples, bleaching buttholes – to me, that’s all normal. Skin is skin. I know some people who are like ‘Wait a minute….with your mom?’ And it blows my mind that people think it’s weird. I will say, if it was between a son and a mom, that might be a little bit weird. But we’re all girls. We have the same body parts.”

Eva said that she has three other kids in addition to Sunnie, “But I am closer to Sunnie…it is what it is. We are not doing anything outrageous. It’s just maintaining and cleaning the body.”

The mom and daughter duo also frequently give each other facials, in the bikini area, like a “facial for your flower,” Sunnie said.

Kathy and Cristina, who have been on “sMothered” since the first season, will return for Season 5. TLC
Florida duo Mary and Brittani, who have been with the show since Season 5, are also returning for Season 5. TLC

“I think it’s weird that other people think it’s weird,” she said, referring to that activity.

“My sister is more grossed out by it than anyone that I know, and I was like, ‘Mom saw your vagina before anybody!’ I don’t get it, why would you want a random stranger? If anyone is going to see your vagina, I would want it to be my mom.”

“It did put a major hinder on my dating relationships in the past,” she said. “It was an immediate ‘No’ with some guys I thought about dating, because they were very weirded out by my mom and I’s relationship.”
