Lights, camera, action!
Meghan Markle is back in front of the cameras, only this time the actress appeared in a cameo for Clevr’s new coffee ad.
The Duchess of Sussex, 42, took on the role of an intern who can be seen stacking boxes and brewing coffee as well as typing away at a computer in the digital department.
“Damn, you’re keeping us BUSY right now! Had to call in some reinforcements 👀,” the latte brand teased Markle’s cameo.
The clip, which was shared with the brand’s 78,000 followers on Instagram Tuesday night, starts with co-founder Hannah Mendoza welcoming viewers to “Clevr HQ.”
“I want to give a huge shout-out to our amazing Clevr team here at HQ. Without them, we are nothing,” Mendoza says, before introducing viewers to the “fulfillment crew” who were packing boxes.
Mendoza quips that the team has “been listening to Britney [Spears] on loop since 2019” before the camera pans to the duchess.
Markle and other employees are then introduced as “very smart, only slightly nerdy” team members, and the camera once again shows the “Suits” alum working away at the computer.
The mom of two was seen again when she handed Mendoza a cup of coffee.
Markle, in her final act, laughed off her failed fistbump with the “fulfillment team” as she carried a box of coffee and her phone.
Markle, who has been a fan of the brand since its inception in 2016, has been a private investor in the latte company since December 2020.
The duchess’s acting cameo may come as no surprise to some after she teased an “exciting” future of new projects in a recent red carpet interview.
Markle signed with WME CEO Ari Emanuel and his team in April, and last month hinted at the content fans can expect from her and Harry’s production company, Archewell Productions, in the future.
“[I want to make] things that make people feel — I was going say ‘good,’ but it’s more than that, things that make people feel something, right? And feel a sense of community,” she explained.
“But we have so many exciting things on the slate. I can’t wait until we can announce them, but I’m just really proud of what we’re creating.”
The actress’ most notable — and final — role of her career was paralegal Rachel Zane on the hit USA Network series, which ended in 2019.
